Upcoming Week

Well this past week has been kind of a breeze for me. I only went to class about 2 days and it was really easy. But this week is going to be a lot more hectic to make up for my easy week. I have to learn all the muscles before thursday and finish writing my journal on the New Testament. And I have to study for a test for the next teusday. This Teusday I have a test in English Literature and Thursday is My test on the muscles. I also have to turn in a thesis or something for my research paper. All of this is going on and finals are not too far away from now. I also have to get ready for Athens and get registered there and try to find a scholarship if at all possible. I will also have to work some too which cuts out on my study time. Tonight I have to work a host event at Goosepond. Im not sure what it is but i have to wear a suit and serve food to everyone so its not my idea of a fun Saturday night. So maybe I can make it through without killing someone cause I know I will be stressed out. So I guess I need to get started…now.

This past week has been really great. I have been working with my uncle laying block lately which is really tiring but ok because I needed a job pretyt bad. This weekend went by way to fast just like they all do. Friday I worked a few hours and went home and got a shower and tok a nap. Later hope and some friends came over and we all hung out and played super smash brothers. Hope always hated when we would play because she felt left out but now she started playing and she loves it. Saturday we woke up early and went to the ski sale a unclaimed baggage. It was a lot of fun and I got some really good stuff for a really cheap price. After that we went and ate breakfast and met up with some friends to go rock climbing. We went to chattanooga to urban rocks gym and did some top rope stuff and I did a few bouldering routes and was so tired I could barely drive home and stay awake. We stopped at steak and shake and got some food and milkshakes for the ride home. Sunday I went to church and went to hope’s house to eat and then watch a movie. Later me and amar studied for our statistics test and went back to hopes to play super smash brothers some more. So the weekend was a success but short lived.

1st of November

Well the weekend came and went way to fast. Friday was definately fun like I predicted. We went to atrox to the haunted factory thing. We got there about 8 and  waited an hour to get in. And when we finally got in we paid and got our tokens and they told us it was going to be a 3 hour wait. We didnt think it would be that long but it was every bit of three hours and then some. So we waited patiently for our turn. We spent time in the car talking and riding around and walking around talking some more. I made friends with some random people in there and watched some movies they had playing. We also went to sonic and ate and came back and waited. They finally got to our names and we went through. It took about 15 minutes to get all the way through and it wasnt even really that scary.

We left atrox at about 3 in the morning. It was a long miserable ride home and I ended up gettin about 5 or 6 hours of sleep. I woke up Saturday and got my stuff  ready and headed to tuscaloosa with some friends. We got there about 4 and hung out with all our friends. We all talked and hung out and played games and dressed up as each other for halloween. We stayed up til about 3 playing games and hanging out. After everybody left we went to bed and me and jimmy stayed awake and messed with people in their sleep til about 4 or 5 that morning.

The next morning we woke up and went to church and then to IHOP. I could barely stay awake the whole time through church. The drive home was even worse because everybody was sleeping. We finally got home and I took a nap and got up to do homework which ended up being facebook and youtube like usual. I have a big test today that im not ready for and a paper to work on. But other than that this should be a great week.

Pre-halloween

Well I finally finished my paper that was due today. It was about any three books of the new testament and I actually learned a lot just by doing it. So my weekend officially started at about 12 30 today. Last night was really fun. I went to the Plainview Fyffe game. Fyffe ended up winning by about 8 or 9 points, I cant really remember.  Anyways that was a lot of fun and after that we all went over to JT’s to hang out. At one point in the night there was about 4 guitars playing different songs all at once along with owl city playin in the background. It was a lot of fun. Some people were playing xbox on a huge tv that was outside, while the rest of us where sitting around the” “bond” fire” as some people were calling it. All in all it was a great night to hang out with friends.

Tonight sould be a lot of fun because were going to some haunted factory place called atrox. Ive never been but I hear it is pretty good. I guess I’ll see when I get there.I dont ussually get really scared in places like that where I know people will try to scare me. But maybe this will be different since I havent been scared in a while. Tommorro should be fun too because me and some friends are going down to tuscaloosa to see our friends and for a halloween party so that should be a lot of fun.

This weekend came and went way to fast as always. Friday was fun. Me and hope went to Athens to take her test. When she went in I stayed in the car to take a nap and forgot to turn the lights off. I woke up about thirty minutes later and the car wouldnt crank. So I went in the library to give it time and came back out and it still wouldnt crank so we had to get the campus cop to come jump the car off. After that we went to eat at IHOP. Saturday I just hung out all day and watched football and stuff. Sunday I got up late and ate breakfast and went to church. We went to eat at Katys after that and then I had to go take a test. I met up with Amar to take our tests at the holiday inn. We took his first and made an 82 and then took mine and I made the exact same thing. I finished up my Sunday at Jimmy’s playing super smash brothers. Yesterday was the typical monday. I woke up late and went to school and came to hopes and went back to school and  came back to hopes to hang out for the rest of the night. Today I skipped class so I could work on a paper which I never started. I found out I made a 94 on a paper I spent about an hour on  so that made my day good and it is only gonna get better because tonight were going to the basement. I havent been since probably this summer so I am looking forward to going tonight. Even though I should be writing my paper which is due by this friday. But it will all work out.

Thursday is the new Friday

Well the moment ive been waiting for is here. Thursday night. At the start of this week all I wanted was for tonight to get here so I could be done with all my school tests, papers, and homework. Its all good now except I have 2 more papers and another test to do. But it is what it is I guess. Its not like my life is hard anyways so why complain?

This week has actually been a blast. Last night we had our bible study over at hope’s house around the fire on her porch which was really kool. We all just sat around the fire and talked and stuff until Chris got there and we did our bible study. We talked about what all God is to us and how he can be so different to us in different situations of our life. After we all talked we hung out and talked some more and ate snacks and stuff.

Today was hectic but I finally made it through. I skipped my test this morning thinking I could make it up but turns out I couldnt so good thing it was post poned til this evening. After that I worked out and came home and we all made chicken fajitas. I then took my New Testament test and here I am now.

We have been talking lately about our spring break mission trip we are wanting to do this coming March. And from what I can tell we will probably be going to California. It will probably be going to the Oakland/ San Fransisco area. I have never been to Cali but I am really excited about it. I wouldve never thought God would take me to all these cool places like he has since Ive surrendered my life to him. I always thought of that as a type of “surrender” that would leave me bored and in chains to an all powerful being but it actually set me free from the chains that I thought was freedom. I was so blinded and oblivious until I totally surrendered my life to Christ. I never really understood the concept of those lines in amazing grace where it says “was blind but now I see”. But now I do understand and its so awesome.

 I am getting up early in the morning to go with hope to Athens to take her test. I plan on drinking lots of coffee to keep myself awake. And if I make it home alive I’ll probly take me a nice nap. We will probly ride around h’ville and hang out too so that will be nice.

This weekend went by way to fast. Saturday just wasn’t long enough for me. Sunday (yesterday) was good though. I went to church and after that went to see my Granny Peggy. I havent saw her in about a month so that was fun getting to go over there. She cooked for everybody just like she does pretty much every Sunday evening. Its always good to get to eat over there. Its true what they say, there really isn’t anything  like grandma’s cooking. After that I drove all the way back to Rainsville tryin not to fall asleep and finally got my long awaited Sunday Nap. After i finally woke up I ate again and went back to church. After church we all went out to eat at Katy’s Katfish. The food there is always delicious and we had a great time. It ended with everybody throwin hushpuppies up to me while I tried to catch them in my mouth. Everything about the weekend was great until today. I woke up so sleepy so i went back to sleep and then I woke up and the same thing happened again. So i finally made myself get up and get a shower. I got ready and got to the school for my Presidential Host meeting and noticed everybody was wearing their uniforms. Everybody but me and then it hit me that today was picture day. I didnt have time to go home and change so I had to sit out and be embarrassed cause I was the only loser who forgot my suit. So I went on to class at 1 and it was hard today for some reason. I have so much to do this week I wish I could just fast forward to Thursday evening where I could just be done with all my work. It seems like it would be a lot easier that way. I would actually rather just not do any of my work and still have a good grade and still get to live life the rest of this week.

This week has been a good one. School has been easy all week and friday I just hung out all day and did nothing. After I finished doing nothing I went to Scottsborro with Hope to watch Couples Retreat. It was a really good movie with a pretty good story line. Vince Vaughn was hilarious as usual. After that we ended the night with a trip to zaxby’s to eat, which was amazing. Today I woke up and ate and did a little homework and got ready for the bluegrass festival. It wasn’t really crowded while I was there but the crowd was thickening when I was leaving. After I left I went with Hope to Huntsville to the mall and to hang out. It was fun and I got some stuff and went to Starbuck’s after. All in all today was a good day except the fact that Auburn lost. But maybe I’ll be a Bama fan for the rest of the season since they’re doing good. I doubt it though because I dont want to be another person jumping on the Alabama bandwagon lol.

Good week, new friends, great times!

This past week has been really exciting. Last friday me and some friends went to hang out with the youth group of Fort Payne First Baptist at Camp Toknowhim. We got there Friday night and stayed until Sunday morning. When we got there we didnt really know anyone but on Saturday we got to hang out a lot more and get to know them better. We had devotion after breakfast and then went and did the ropes course which was a lot of fun. After that we all hung out at the lake and the others swam but i didnt due to the icy water. After that we had another devotion ate dinner and went to watch the sun set over the river. We went back to the camp and made a fire and roasted marshmellows and made smores. Then we all played games for about 5 hours straight. All in all it was a great experience and we made a ton of new friends.

I was dreading school Monday but it wasnt bad at all. I ended up making great on a test and getting a job. Thursday I saw a great football game at North Jackson. It was a really close game but Guntersville won in the end. When the game was over we went and played super smash brothers on the old school Nintendo 64. I dont usually like video games but I could play smash brothers for hours at a time.

Today is the Miss Northeast Pageant and I’m working the dinner before it starts so that should be a lot of fun. This is my last semester as a presidential host so i will have to make the best of the time i have left.

Adventures in Atlanta

Well this week has been very eventful and awesome at the same time. Usually eventful means hectic but this week was way different and way better. Thursday was awesome, because me and some friends went and saw Needtobreathe along with Matthew Mayfield and Serena Ryder. But it wasnt that easy.

I got out of my lab at Northeast at 2 o’clock so me and hope went all the way down to jacksonville to meet Justin to drive all the way to Rome to meet Katrina at Shorter College. Everything was going great until we realized that we were going by Alabama time and the concert was in Georgia time. So we were already late. The concert was at a place called the loft, and the yahoo directions Kat printed were to a totally different “Loft”. So we got lost temporarily in Atlanta. We finally got this awesome security Guard to give us directions. We finally got in the general area and still couldnt find it so we asked around for more directions and finally found it.

So we walked to the door and paid and walked up some stairs and got in a place no bigger than my house (which isn’t that big) and saw Matthew Mayfield playing in a room with about 200 to 400 people. It was really sweet. Then we saw Serena Ryder play, which was really cool because this past weekend i heard her on the radio. But they saved the best for last. Needtobreathe came out and everbody went crazy. They played a few new songs from their new album “The Outsiders”. They also played a few older ones and then left and came out for an encore and got everyone to be quiet and  played “Something Beautiful” acoustic. After that we all went to steak and shake and got a burger and shakes and left for home. We ended up getting home about 3 or 4 in the morning which added to the excitment. All in all it was on eof the top ten nights of my life.
